D Bomb vs. Baby D Bomb: where to start

Two creature baits. Choose a starting point for your next session.

Missile Baits Baby D Bomb

Choose the original D Bomb when you want a larger creature-bait profile; consider the Baby D Bomb when you want to downsize. Match the hook to the actual bait, not just the name on the bag.

Start with the shape

The D Bomb has a ribbed body and paired tails. The original comes six to a pack; Baby D Bomb comes seven to a pack. Compare the bait beside your hook before rigging: the body should sit straight, with enough room for the hook to clear it.

Make one change at a time

Keep a simple fishing note: bait, color, location, retrieve and result. If you switch size, color and presentation together, it is hard to tell what helped. Fish a smaller area deliberately before changing everything in your tackle box.

A Texas-rig starting point

Slide an appropriate bullet weight onto the line, then tie on a compatible offset hook. Thread the bait onto the hook and align it so the body hangs straight. An exposed or lightly tucked point depends on cover and the rig you are using. The illustrated state-agency guide below shows the assembly. Check local fishing rules and access before heading out.

Shop by the actual pack

Happibee carries both sizes. Choose a listed color and pack count on the product page; do not assume every option has the same price or availability.
