Why is Harmless Harvest coconut water pink?
It starts clear at bottling and can naturally shift toward pink from there; nothing is added to lock the color in place. Some bottles arrive already pink, some turn later, and some stay clear, and the brand confirms every shade tastes the same.
Which electrolytes does it have?
The coconut's own, chiefly potassium alongside phosphorus, at levels the brand labels a good source of both. Nothing is fortified after the fact; what the young coconut carries is what you drink.
Is it pasteurized?
Not with heat. Harmless Harvest instead runs the water through a proprietary multi-step micro-filtration process, which its FAQ says removes bacteria and yields a commercially sterile product while keeping the flavor close to fresh coconut.
Is this the shelf-stable version?
No. This is the original refrigerated line Harmless Harvest is known for. The brand also makes a separate Shelf Stable Coconut Water in 12 oz and 32 oz bottles; that is a different product with its own page.
Is it sweetened?
No added sugar and no sweeteners; the ingredient list is one line long. It does carry natural sugar from the fruit itself, so it isn't a zero-sugar drink, just an unsweetened one.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
For storage, yes: this line lives in the fridge. Orders arrive at room temperature, so refrigerate the bottles as soon as they land, give them about 24 hours to chill fully, and shake well before pouring. Keep them chilled through the printed best-by date, and once a bottle is open, back in the fridge and finished within 4 to 5 days; all of that is Harmless Harvest's own guidance.
