Siete Maíz Corn Tortilla Chips are the brand's traditional corn range, the line Siete itself calls Maíz Totopos: maíz is Spanish for corn, and totopos is what tortilla chips have always been called in Mexico.

Masa is why these taste the way they do. Before any chip gets cut, the corn is cooked with the mineral lime on the label, not the citrus kind, and that is the same step a fresh tortilla depends on. And these are avocado oil tortilla chips in the strictest sense: nothing else fries them.

Six Flavors for Salsa, Guacamole, and Nachos

Sea Salt is the reference point, the white-and-yellow base with nothing else to argue with, and Lime adds real lime oil and a citric edge. Blue Corn is the blue corn tortilla chip of the group, made from blue and red kernels and dark enough that the brand compares it to a midnight sky.

The other three wear their toppings: Taco Seasoning tastes like its name, with tomato, garlic, cumin, and chile in the mix; Mexican Street Corn is Siete's dairy-free take on elote, the grilled-corn street snack, built on red chile, garlic, and lime; and Three Cheese Nacho layers organic cheddar, parmesan, and romano over the same base.

Common Questions

Are Siete Maíz chips grain-free?

No. These are corn chips through and through, and corn is a grain. Siete's separate Grain Free Tortilla Chips are made without any, come in 5 oz bags rather than 7.5 oz, and are a different product entirely.

Which flavors contain dairy?

Only Three Cheese Nacho, whose label declares milk. No milk ingredient appears on the other five statements, Mexican Street Corn included, which is exactly the point of that one's name.

Are any of the flavors spicy?

None of the six is sold as a hot flavor. Chile appears only in Mexican Street Corn and Taco Seasoning, and Taco Seasoning traces back to the brand's own Mild Taco Seasoning, the product these chips grew out of.
