Choose the Flexfit 6277 if you want a classic curved cap at the lower price. Choose the Flexfit Delta 180 if you prefer bonded panels, a smoother finish and a three-layer sweatband. Both have a closed back and stretch fit, so getting the size right matters more than picking the more expensive model.

These two hats are close enough in shape to make the choice confusing. Neither is a mesh trucker or an adjustable snapback. The useful differences are in the fabric, panel construction and sweatband—and the extra amount you pay for them.

The 6277's name can be misleading: Wooly Combed is not a wool-content claim. Its polyester/cotton/spandex blend has a wool-like character. It is the familiar choice if you like visible cap stitching and a traditional look with jeans, a sweatshirt or a casual jacket.

Delta takes a different approach to that same basic silhouette. Its panels are fused rather than joined with conventional stitching. The result is a cleaner-looking surface, paired with a sweatband designed to manage moisture. That is the reason to consider it for a day that mixes errands, walking and other activity.

Water-repellent technology is useful to distinguish from waterproof protection. Delta is still a baseball cap; don't choose it as a substitute for rain gear. Likewise, its sweatband does not make the cap sweat-proof.

Choose for the way you wear a cap

01 / Keep it simple

Classic daily wear

Start with the 6277 when the goal is a plain, curved cap that goes with everyday clothes. If you like its appearance and fit, you don't need to spend more just because Delta has more technical features.

02 / Add the features

More active days

Consider Delta when the bonded finish and moisture-management design are features you'll use. Its smooth panel joins also suit someone who wants a less visibly stitched look.

03 / Buy for someone

A gift with a known size

Either can make an inexpensive, useful gift when you know the recipient's size. Check the label of a fitted cap they already enjoy wearing. Neither has a rear strap to rescue a guess.

Is Delta worth the extra $2.64?

At the prices checked on October 28, 2026, the 6277 is $8.26 and Delta is $10.90. The difference is $2.64 per cap, before shipping and any applicable tax.

For one cap, that is a modest step up if you specifically want Delta's construction. For two caps, the item totals are $16.52 for two 6277s or $21.80 for two Deltas—a $5.28 difference. Choose the feature you want rather than buying a second hat solely to make the first feel like a better deal.

If your priority is staying below $10 for the item itself, the 6277 is the clear choice at these prices. If your priority is Delta's bonded construction, the price gap is small enough to weigh against that preference. Check your full order total and delivery options before checking out.

Will the same size fit the same way?

Both models come in S/M and L/XL, but matching letters don't guarantee an identical feel. The fabric blend and construction differ. Start with a known fitted-hat size, then check the range for the exact cap you choose.

A stretch band should sit securely without uncomfortable pressure. If a cap presses at your forehead or slips when you look down, don't let a small price difference decide for you. Fit is the part you will notice every time you wear it.

Our 6277 S/M versus L/XL guide explains the overlapping ranges. If you actually want a mesh back or a snap closure, start with the 6277 versus 6606 comparison instead.

Before you choose

Does either cap adjust at the back?

No. These versions have closed backs and stretch-fit bands. Choose a separate adjustable style if you want to change the band setting.

Is Delta automatically the better everyday hat?

No. Its construction offers different features, but the 6277 is a sensible choice when you prefer the classic look and lower price. A comfortable fit and a style you'll wear are better reasons to choose than the product's position in a range.
